The Oz calendar for February offers an amazing variety of events!

 

All month long the Joliet (Illinois) Public Library's Great Read celebrates The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with events, classes, and exhibits ending with a gala. Details on their website.

Feb 1-10 in Denver, the Colorado Ballet performs The Wizard of Oz. (This lavish new production recently debuted in Kansas City.) All new music, costumes, scenic design and spectacular choreography by Septime Webre.

The Wonderful Music Of Oz will be presented by Colorado Springs Philharmonic at Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts, Colorado Springs, CO, Feb. 8-9. Enjoy music from MGM's The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, Wicked and more. 

Feb. 8-10 in Oakland, the 52nd California International Antiquarian Book Fair, has an Oz theme with an exhibit and presentation. The Oz Club will have in information table. If you're an Oz/Baum book collector, this is not to be missed!
 

Feb. 9-10 the Erie Philharmonic will perform the score to the MGM film live to accompany the classic movie on the big screen in Erie's "original movie palace, The Warner Theatre."

February 9-10 in Cape Cod, “actors and orchestra share the stage” in this unusual concert version of The Wizard of Oz

A non-musical version of The Wizard of Oz opens Feb. 22 in Northfield, Minn. 

Elizabeth Letts will Present her New Hardcover Novel ~ Finding Dorothy in Kansas City on February 20. This richly imagined Novel tells the story behindThe Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the book that inspired the iconic film, through the eyes of Author L. Frank Baum’s intrepid wife, Maud.

The national touring company of The Wizard of Oz continues to bring all the color, music, and magic of the classic film to life on the stage.
