Oz exhibits, events, and performances are in full swing this fall. Here’s a selection:

Oz Exhibits

A Wizard of Oz art exhibition opens in Escanaba, Mich., Sept. 25.

Open through Nov. 2, in Overland Park, Kans., “Expanding Oz” is a collections-based exhibit at the Johnson County Museum.

To celebrate the MGM film’s 80th anniversary, Oz collector Barb Kennerson's collection is on exhibit at the Honeoye Public Library in Honeoye, NY.

Oz Events

During Autumn in Oz, in Banner Elk, NC, Sept. 6-8, 13-15, you can actually follow the Yellow Brick Road. VIP guests include authors Jay Scarfone, Bill Stillman, and Randy Schmidt, plus two of Wicked’s stars, Rachel Potter (Glinda) and Kristy Cates (Elphaba). Tickets and info:

The Midwest Oz Fest in Tinley Park, Illinois, will be Sept. 21-22. The website hasn't been updated, but you can can contact them with questions.

Sept. 28 Holland, Mich., dedicates the new Oz park. Character sculptures, a Yellow Brick Road and a fantastic organic monument to Oz will be unveiled as a permanent display.

The Ohio Oz Fest returns in Twinsburg, Ohio, Sept. 28-29. Fans can expect a great time with carnival rides, puppet shows, contests, Oz characters, and much more.

Oz on Stage, Screen and ... Field

Sept. 6-7 in Tulsa, Okla., “The Wonderful Music of Oz” brings you an evening of memorable Oz music from MGM, The Wiz, Wicked, and more.

The Aventura (Florida) Center offers MGM’s classic The Wizard of Oz as a free family film Sept. 8. See it on the big screen in its 80th year.

Jonesboro, Tenn., has a Wizard of Oz corn maze this fall. Open Sept. 14 - Nov. 2. No website, and no info about this (yet, anyway) on their facebook page.

Sept. 19-22 in Amman, Jordan, The Wizard of Oz comes to stage.

Sept. 21 in El Segundo, "Wickedly Trans, a journey into the Rainbow" a concert of Oz music performed by the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles is offered by the El Segundo Museum of Art in conjunction with the museum's impressive Oz exhibit.

Sept. 28 in Fayetteville, NC, a version of the Wizard of Oz that presents the story “from a Christian perspective" returns to the stage after last year's successful debut.
