Oz-Stravaganza! the longest running and largest Wizard of Oz themed festival in the world kicks off the 2019 Oz event season in Chittenango, NY, the birthplace of Oz author L. Frank Baum. May 31-June 2 will deliver their 42nd annual festival. The whole community joins the fun from the All Things Oz Museum to the many clubs and businesses that sponsor parade floats. Celebrate the Magic of Oz with Oz guests, authors, vendors and more.

May 16 in Beverly Hills “An Evening of Wicked Fun” honors Stephen Schwartz. Tony winner Idina Menzel and Meghan Hilty headline the star-filled cast.
May 3-23 in Las Vegas, the Animazing Gallery celebrates the 80th anniversary of MGM's The Wizard of Oz with an original art exhibition. Five artists are featured.
It’s a Canadian premiere! May 1-5 The Royal Winnipeg Ballet performs The Wizard of Oz with choreography by Septime Webre and original music by Matthew Pierce. Previous performances by the Kansas City Ballet and Colorado Ballet were welcomed with sold-out audiences and wonderful reviews.

Opening May 16 in Omaha, “The Woodsman” brings the back story of the Tin Woodman to life. Since it's 2012 debut, The Woodsman has received critical acclaim. In 2016 it won Obie Award, and a filmed performance was broadcast by PBS stations, as part of the Theater Close-Up series. The production runs through June 16.
Catch the final performances of The Wizard of Oz May 3-5 at the Riverwalk Theater in Lansing, Michigan. A cast of adults and children bring the classic story, as told in the 1939 MGM film, to life.
