John Fricke Blog with OZ Museum

The OZ Museum and annual OZtoberFest of Wamego, Kan.,today proudly announced a new blog, "The Wonderful World of OZ," to be written for their website every week by preeminent Wizard of OZ historian and best-selling author John Fricke.  Fricke's column will premiere on Friday, June 13, 2014, and can be accessed regularly right here!

His commentary will include a happy range of Ozian topics, including the OZ books, films, stage shows, authors, illustrators, products, fan organizations, collectors and collections, and OZ news as it's happening.

In announcing Fricke's column, Clint Stueve, Executive Director, offered, "In his many appearances for us at OZtoberFest across the last decade, we long ago came to realize that there's no one better than John to create interest in -- and enthusiasm for -- OZ. He's become our annual master of ceremonies, and we felt that inviting him to blog would be a wonderful way to keep our association going every weekend of the year, and not just the weekend of the annual OZtoberFest."

Stueve continued, "John has been fascinated by OZ since he was five years old,and his passion embraces all aspects of its amazing legacy. With his journalism background, he'll provide a wonderful passage to OZ, week after week, for fans of all ages."

Fricke is the author of seven books about OZ and Judy Garland. He is a two-time Emmy Award recipient, a Grammy Award nominee, and past president of The International Wizard of Oz Club. He makes his home in New York City.
